Our Story

A working yard, run by people who boat

Harborline started in 2003 when Marcus Whitaker — a diesel mechanic who grew up lobstering out of Fairhaven — leased two acres of waterfront and a tired old travel lift. The idea was simple: treat every boat like it's your own, quote it in writing, and answer the phone.

Twenty-two years on, the yard has grown to fourteen crew, a heated indoor storage building and a rack barn — but the rules haven't changed. Half our crew keeps their own boats in this harbor, and you'll see us on the water all summer.

  • ABYC-certified technicians on staff
  • Factory training: Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, Yanmar
  • Written estimates before work begins — no surprises
  • Photo updates at haul, block and launch
